DNA
Every person has a unique personality and value system that
undergirds who they are and what they do. At a molecular level this
individuality is referred to as ‘DNA’ or Deoxyribonucleic Acid. A
Church’s culture or DNA is shaped in much the same way as a
person’s, incorporating a variety of factors that are both seen and
unseen.
Activate Church’s DNA consists of a large
vision from God that is
informed by our core values, mission,
statement of faith and ‘The
Great Commission’ as recorded in Matthew 28:16-20.
Activate Academy provides our DNA course to help people learn
more about the culture and vision of Activate Church. Participants
have the opportunity to explore the mission that God has given us,
“To make disciples of Jesus Christ”, as well as to ask questions of
Church leadership regarding how they can be more involved in Church
life. The course itself is delivered over four weeks and explores
the following key questions.
• Who are we and why do we exist?
• What do we believe?
• What is important to us?
• Where are we headed?
We strongly encourage all Church ministry participants and
volunteers to complete our DNA course. Further training is provided
